I established Grace Cain Tutoring in 2021 with the main aim of supporting children academically which in turn increases their confidence in their own. I offer personalised 1:1 tutoring which is fun, interactive and engaging encompassing the child’s personal and academic needs in each session.

I qualified as a teacher in 2015 and have taught children from Year 1 to Year 6 in both the independent and state school sector. I am highly experienced with the current curriculum and am fully up to speed on any proposed changes in the education arena. My degree in Special Education Needs provides me with the tools to support both the children who have additional needs and their families through the paperwork that surrounds children with SEN requirements.

My belief is that children can achieve, whatever their ability, with the right tools in their toolbox.

My name is Catherine Jenkins-Wiley and I am very excited to be joining Grace in providing high quality private tutoring for children. After spending 10 years in Normandy, France when my children were little, I now live between Milton Keynes and Northampton. I am a fully qualified teacher with 25 years experience in a range of secondary, middle and primary schools.

In that time, I have taught children of all needs and abilities and have had lots of success in doing so. I am a specialist in English, having originally trained and worked as a secondary school teacher. In recent years I have worked in Primary school and have extensive experience of the Key Stage Two SATs. I love teaching and strongly believe in making learning fun in order to engage your child whatever their abity and needs may be.

My name is Jeff Thompson. I was a teacher for over 20 years in a secondary school, before retiring from class teaching to concentrate on private tutoring, both online and face to face. In my time at school I enjoyed teaching children of all abilities, and went on to become head of maths to ensure the highest teaching standards were maintained in the department for all children.

I have extensive experience of ensuring that children get the highest GCSE grade they are capable of through a carefully planned diet of revision, using different approaches to suit children’s individual needs. Currently I am working as a private tutor and as an A level maths exam marker for a couple of exam boards. The exam marking gives me an invaluable insight into exactly what examiners are looking for in exam answers, which I am keen to share with children to help them succeed.

My name is Frances Speirs and I am a fully qualified primary teacher. I currently work part time as a Year 3/4 teacher, but have taught across the primary key stages. In recent years I have also tutored children in Year 6, to help them build on their existing knowledge and skills and prepare them for the challenges that lie ahead.

I am passionate about education and believe that every student has the potential to succeed. Ultimately, with patience and support I believe I can help children become confident and competent learners who are ready to succeed in their academic and personal lives.
